The Savage Axis Compact in this listing is a new bolt-action rifle chambered in .223 Rem with a 20-inch barrel. It has a synthetic black stock and a matte black finish. The supplier labels the rifle new and uses a stock photo, with UPC 011356572448 on the record. The specification sheet also lists the item as new, so the condition is consistent across the listing. The compact stock and 20-inch barrel describe a shorter rifle.

In Missouri the .223 Rem is a centerfire cartridge, so the rifle falls under the state's centerfire rule for the November firearms portion, which runs Nov. 14-24 for the 2026-27 season. Shotguns with slugs, handguns and muzzleloaders are legal in that portion as well, while .22 rimfire is not. Check the MDC Fall Deer and Turkey booklet for the antlerless permits and any magazine limits that apply where you plan to hunt.
