Show-Me State buyers have a new CZ to look at this fall. The DUTY 4.0 is a striker-fired 9x19mm with a serialized internal chassis, a fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame and a direct-mount optics-ready slide with fixed sights. The 4-inch barrel is not threaded, overall length is 7.4 inches, and the SFDA trigger comes in at 5.6 pounds with a 4 mm reset and 9 mm of travel.

Buyers on the Kansas City side, in Liberty and St. Joseph, tend to ask for a carry gun, and the C compact at 15+1, 770 g and 135 mm tall fits that. Around St. Louis, Chesterfield and St. Charles, and in Columbia and Jefferson City, home defense comes up more, and the F full-size at 17+1 is the better nightstand pistol. Add MS to either and you get a manual thumb safety. All four carry a $729 MSRP, and with the extended base plate the C goes to 17+1 and the F to 19+1.

Pick the F when the gun lives on a belt or in a nightstand rather than under a T-shirt. Over the carry-size it adds two rounds (17+1 against 15+1), about 8 mm of grip and 10 g of weight, and nothing else changes.

Where the P-10 had a registered polymer frame, the DUTY 4.0 moves the serial number to an internal modular chassis. That is the headline. The rest follows the modern service-pistol formula done carefully: a striker SFDA trigger at 25 ± 4 N (5.6 ± 0.9 lbs) (4 mm (0.16 in) reset, 9 ± 1 mm (0.4 ± 0.04 in) travel), a 188 mm (7.4 in) long slide with direct-mount optics cuts, fixed sights and a 102 mm barrel without a thread.

The standard model skips the external safety and keeps the three passive ones: firing pin block, trigger safety and trigger-bar safety. Same chassis, same trigger and slide as the MS; only the lever is missing.

Best fit: home defense, duty use, competition and long range sessions where the extra grip and two more rounds matter. Shooters coming from a CZ 75 will recognize the grip angle; owners coming from any other striker gun will notice the trigger first.

Choose your model and name the Missouri dealer you want it shipped to. Missouri has no purchase permit and no waiting period; your dealer runs the NICS check at pickup and you take the pistol home once it clears. Ammo, optics and parts ship to your door. Price and stock are checked live when you order and before you pay.

Questions buyers ask: Is there a waiting period on handguns in Missouri? No. Missouri has no purchase permit and no waiting period; your dealer runs the NICS check when you collect. What do the extended base plates add? Two rounds. The C goes from 15+1 to 17+1 and the F from 17+1 to 19+1. How many rounds does the CZ DUTY 4.0 F hold? 17+1 with the standard magazine and 19+1 with the extended base plate.
