The Smith & Wesson 642-1 Airweight is a double action only J-frame revolver chambered for .38 S&W SPL +P, with a 1.88 inch barrel and a 5-round cylinder. It has a stainless steel alloy frame, black rubber grips and fixed sights. Our listing marks the revolver as used, while the supplier describes it as new and lists a UPC, so both condition descriptions are shown here.

Missouri has no permit to purchase, no gun registration and no state waiting period. You pick this revolver up at a local licensed dealer after a valid photo ID, ATF Form 4473 and a NICS background check. Federal law sets the minimum age for handgun buyers at 21. A small double action revolver suits a Missouri buyer who wants a handgun for home defense or range practice, and the fixed sights keep the setup simple.
