This used Smith & Wesson SW1911 is a full-size .45 ACP pistol with a 5-inch barrel and serial number UFB8106. It is a single-action, hammer-fired design with a full-size stainless steel frame, side engravings, scaled serrations and a manual thumb safety. It has checkered wood grips, and the bore is excellent. The finish shows minor wear, and the supplier rates the overall condition as very good. The stainless frame and thumb safety are the points that define this pistol.

Missouri has no permit to purchase, no gun registration and no state waiting period, so the pistol moves through a licensed dealer after the photo ID check and the federal NICS background check. Its full-size frame and 5-inch barrel suit range use or carry in the state, and the manual thumb safety is a configuration to learn before handling it. Federal rules set the minimum age for a handgun purchase at 21.
